GLASGOW, Mo -- Karbelle Mansion has a lot to offer people who are interested in the Civil War. It is full of history, ghost stories, tours, and free breakfast for overnight guests.Kimberly Reckner, owner of the Karbelle Mansion, said that it's important to note that the mansion is almost 150 years old, so there may be some quirks, such as a slightly uneven main floor hallway. However, the house is built like a fortress, with walls that are four bricks thick on both the inside and outside. A rich historyThe Italianate Villa in Glasgow was built in 1875 by James S. Thomson. He married Elizabeth Brown Jones, who owned the land. Although she legally needed a man to represent her, it was Jones who ensured the house's existence. Thomson was in competition to build the largest house in Glasgow, which he achieved. "There was a competitor, but that house is no longer standing due to a later house fire," said Reckner. Baltimore, Maryland, officials said four patients were injured in a steam pipe explosion Sunday evening.The explosion happened around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Pratt and Eutaw Streets after a Baltimore Gas and Electric crew struck an unmarked pipe in the area.First responders with Baltimore Fire said the steam pipe explosion happened while DPW and the Office of Emergency Management were already dealing with a water main break.According to a BGE spokesperson, the unmarked line its workers struck caused a water leak leading to the explosion.“The leak caused the steam line to rupture north of the struck water main on Eutaw St. The steam system in the area is now off,” the spokesperson told WTOP in an email.Baltimore Fire said four people were treated in the explosion but only three were taken to the hospital. ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (KDVR) -- A father and daughter injured in a hit-and-run crash on May 5 continue to recover from their injuries but it's going to be a long road. The crash occurred at approximately 8:35 p.m. around South Downing Street and Highway 285. The Englewood Police Department said the driver of a black 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee rammed Joey Vasquez's vehicle off the road, causing it to strike a light pole. SUV suspected of ramming vehicle off the road found, Medina Alert discontinued The alleged driver, 30-year-old Ruben Munguia, struck Vasquez's vehicle multiple times, police said. A traffic stop in Hialeah sent a police officer to the hospital after, investigators said, a biker riding a stolen motorcycle ran him over.Robert Ortiz was arrested and is facing several charges while, police said, he was out on felony bond from another case.Authorities said Hialeah Police officers were trying to pull Ortiz over near East Fourth Avenue and 49th Street, at around 4 a.m., Sunday.As officers walked toward the suspect, authorities said, Ortiz accelerated and hit one of them with a motorcycle that he stole out of Miami.Police said Ortiz fled the scene on foot and ran into a residential area.Responding officers set up a perimeter and were able to locate and apprehend the suspect.As of Sunday night, the injured officer was at Jackson Memorial Hospital awaiting surgery.The conflict cannot end until Ukraine is part of the West
