AUSTIN (KXAN) — To bolster the back line, Austin FC secured a former Major League Soccer defensive player of the year via trade Wednesday.Matt Hedges, a 6-foot-4 central defender that won the league's top defensive honor in 2016, will join the Verde and Black from Toronto FC. A year after acquiring Jorge López at the major league trade deadline, the Twins are sending the right-hander back out.The Twins on Wednesday swapped middle relievers with the Miami, sending Lopez to the Marlins for right-hander Dylan Floro.This year’s deadline is Tuesday.Floro, 32, is 3-5 with a 4.54 earned-run average and seven saves in 43 appearances for the Marlins this season. He has allowed 48 hits in 32⅔ innings but has struck out 41 against 11 walks and surrendered only two home runs.On May 10, Floro was 2-1 with a save, two blown saves and a 1.68 ERA. Portions of southbound Interstate 35W will close Friday, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.Southbound I-35W will be closed between I-494 in Bloomington and I-35E in Burnsville. Southbound ramps between 82nd Street and I-35E will also be closed. The northbound I-35W E-ZPass lane between 106th Street and 82nd Street will also be closed.The closures will last from 10 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday.Drivers can detour to I-494 to Minnesota 77 to I-35E.The ramps from 98th Street to southbound I-35W will remain closed through late August. ROTTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Rotterdam police are investigating how a young woman’s dead body went unreported for months, given that police say she did not live alone. MIDTOWN, Manhattan (PIX11) — A civilian and a firefighter were injured when a crane caught fire and collapsed in Manhattan Wednesday morning, officials said. The five-alarm blaze happened at 550 Tenth Ave. between 40th and 41st streets in Hell's Kitchen at around 7:30 a.m., according to the FDNY. The Albany Center Gallery gave NEWS10 a preview of what next month's celebration will look like.The “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop” exhibit will be filled with artwork from local artists in the Capital District. JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services will open applications Thursday for anyone interested in operating a marijuana microbusiness. Missouri DHSS defines a microbusiness as a marijuana facility license "designed to allow marginalized or under-represented individuals to participate in the legal marijuana market," either through a dispensary or wholesale facility. Illinois State Police said this device has already proven to be a great asset in solving crime.The tool they are adding: automated license plate readers.
