KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City, Missouri’s chief of police and mayor, as well as the Clay County prosecuting attorney, came together Sunday for a news conference on the case of the teenager shot by a homeowner after visiting the wrong home the night of April 13.The briefing coincided with a protest organized by The People’s Coalition near the scene of the incident called, “We Take Care of Our Own.” Man dead in overnight shooting in Westport KCPD Chief Stacey Graves addressed that protest Sunday, promising a complete and thorough review.“I want everyone to know that I’m listening, and I understand the concern that we are receiving from the community,” Graves said. “The information that we have now, it does not say that it’s racially motivated. He did not cite a reason.The trial, which has drawn international interest, had been scheduled to start Monday morning with jury selection and opening statements.The case centers on whether Fox defamed Dominion Voting Systems by spreading false claims that the company rigged the 2020 presidential election to prevent former President Donald Trump’s reelection. Firefighters were investigating a structure fire caused by a lithium-ion battery at a 5-story modern style apartment building Sunday in Hollywood, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. Crews responded to the fire, located at the 1700 block of North Fuller Avenue around 4 a.m.When firefighters arrived on the scene there was “nothing showing,” according to authorities. While firefighters were investigating, a witness reported hearing an explosion. Crews later located an apartment with a lithium-ion battery that had been charged and had exploded. The apartment fire was extinguished by automatic fire sprinklers within the home. Firefighters assisted with water removal from multiple units. (KRON) -- Overnight sideshows blocked the streets in San Francisco's Mission District on Saturday. Another sideshow took over an intersection in Oakland early Saturday morning, according to the Oakland Police Department. E-40 escorted out of playoff game between Warriors and Kings in Sacramento The location of the first sideshow has not yet been confirmed by the San Francisco Police Department. However, St. Matthews Lutheran Church is visible in the background of the video (watch above). The church is located on the corner of 16th and Mission streets. Video obtained by KRON4 shows a red Mustang spinning donuts in front of the church. The crowd ebbs and flows around the vehicle to avoid being hit.
