KINGSBURY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Washington County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash on State Route 149 Thursday evening. The operator was transported to the Glens Falls Hospital, where they succumbed to injuries. Preliminary investigations determined the motorcycle rounded a bend when the operator lost control. They went off the road and the operator was thrown from the bike.Part of the roadway was closed as the accident was being investigated. (NEWS10) - A drag performer-led storytime hour postponed in April will not be rescheduled, according to a small local library that has dealt with controversy and backlash from its community. On Friday, Rockwell Falls Public Library announced on its website that the story hour, which originally would have invited an area drag performer to read to children at the library, will no longer be taking place. ST. LOUIS -- The Missouri State Highway Patrol has been busy on St. Louis highways. They worked with the St. Louis Police Department Thursday on an I-70 law enforcement operation. They pulled over a total of 100 vehicles and made several arrests.Four troopers conducted 44 traffic stops. They conducted 10 arrests, issued 87 citations, and 23 warnings.Seven St. Louis Police officers conducted 56 traffic stops and issued 179 citations. They pulled over seven semi trucks for driving in the fast lane.The two law enforcement agencies worked together in May to conduct a similar operation. It is not clear if they will continue to conduct the traffic stops through the weekend.
