Suspect charged in connection with Antioch sideshow (KRON) -- A man suspected of being involved in an Antioch sideshow early Sunday morning was charged with a four-count complaint, the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office announced. Chase Allen Cancilla, 21, of Antioch was arrested after he crashed his vehicle into another car, leaving a woman in critical condition.The sideshow took place at the Marina Plaza at about 2:50 a.m. It left one car submerged in the San Joaquin River. Dublin residents warned about scam caller impersonating ACSO sergeant (KRON) -- Residents are being warned about a scam telephone call, the Alameda County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday in a press release. A Dublin resident called police on Tuesday and said they received a phone call from someone who identified as an Alameda County Sheriff's Office sergeant.Authorities told the resident the phone call was a scam and nobody from Dublin Police Services or Alameda County Sheriff's Office attempted to contact the citizen. Police warn residents these scam phone calls aim to defraud people of their financial resources and/or personal information.
